The municipality has launched a large-scale tree planting campaign aiming to plant over 500 fruit and shade trees in public parks, main roads, and residential neighborhoods throughout the current year.
The planted trees include local species adapted to the Lebanese climate such as olive, pine, almond, and poplar trees, as well as ornamental trees to beautify roadside views.
Citizen participation in this campaign is welcome by contacting the municipality to obtain free seedlings to plant in front of their homes.
